Job description

As a Senior Product Designer – Team Lead, you will combine hands-on product design with leadership of a small, high-performing design team. You will play a key role in shaping product direction, raising design quality, and ensuring strong collaboration across disciplines, while still spending the majority of your time designing.

This is a full-time product design role, with roughly 70–80% of your time spent on hands-on design work and 20–30% on leadership, coaching, and team development.

Your role

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 product designers, supporting their professional growth and ensuring consistent, high-quality design delivery.

  • Take an active, hands-on role throughout the entire design process, from discovery and research to ideation, prototyping, testing, and polished UI.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align on goals, refine processes, and bring designs to life.

  • Help shape and guide product direction with a strong user focus and attention to detail.

  • Advocate for user-centred design, balancing user needs with business goals and technical constraints.

  • Contribute to improving design processes, workflows, and ways of working across the team.

  • Help conceptualise new product evolutions and ideas, creating cohesive and scalable experiences over time.

  • Foster a healthy, supportive team culture where designers feel empowered, challenged, and motivated to do their best work.

Job requirements

What we expect of you

Ideally, you will bring:

  • 8+ years of product design experience, covering the full design lifecycle from discovery to launch.

  • Experience leading small teams, with strong mentoring, feedback, and collaboration skills.

  • A proven track record of designing engaging, intuitive digital experiences across web, mobile, or cross-platform products.

  • Strong UI craft, with the ability to create polished visuals and turn complex data into clear, usable insights.

  • Experience working with modern design tools and contributing to, or evolving, design systems.

You are:

  • A natural team leader, motivated by helping others grow while maintaining high design standards.

  • A clear and confident communicator who can articulate design decisions and invite constructive feedback.

  • Hands-on by nature, enjoying direct involvement in the design work rather than only guiding from the sidelines.

  • Curious and engaged, with a strong interest in how technology and design come together to create meaningful user experiences.

The Office  

We are located at DTU Science Park in Hørsholm. We take great pride in the state-of-art building we have designed! The office features bright meeting rooms, coffee areas to catch up with colleagues, a large testing arena with simulators available for employees and a fitness center, everything surrounded by a beautiful forest and respecting the environment. We made sure to utilize the newest technologies to be energy efficient and be mindful of ventilation and sound propagation.
