Job description

Do you want to apply your deep understanding of mathematical modeling and physics to create cutting edge algorithms for a leading company in sports technology?

Trackman is looking for a Senior Algorithm Developer to join our Golf Launch Monitor team. Trackman is specialized in creating the state-of-the-art radar and vision solutions that are the gold standard in sports like golf, baseball, American football, and soccer. This role is for the scientist and engineer who is passionate about turning complex physical models into high-performance, production-ready code.

Since 2003, Trackman has been at the forefront of sports technology, developing innovative solutions that integrate computer vision and radar technologies. Our products are used by the world's top athletes, and the algorithms at their core must meet the highest standards of accuracy, performance, and reliability.

As a Senior Algorithm Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the mathematical models and algorithms applying sensor fusion from radar and vision data. You will collaborate closely with other teams to ensure all algorithms are seamlessly integrated into a robust, structured, and high-performance software architecture. We are looking for proactive individuals with a first-principles approach to problem-solving, who can bridge the gap between theoretical models and efficient software implementation.

You will be a part of a team called Golf Launch Monitors. The team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-quality golf launch monitor solutions along with tools and frameworks together with other teams. Your primary contribution will be the mathematical and algorithmic core that powers our embedded products. You will work on algorithm architecture, processing, and optimization methods, all while adhering to excellent software development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize robust mathematical algorithms to produce high accuracy tracking results.

  • Write clean, high-performance, and maintainable code in C++ and Python, adhering to software engineering best practices.

  • Participate in architectural discussions, providing expert input on algorithmic components and their integration into the other systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, validate algorithm performance, and ensure the final product meets user needs.

  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, diagnose issues, and continuously improve algorithm performance and robustness.

Job requirements

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • MSc or PhD in a quantitative field such as Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline giving a solid theoretical foundation.

  • 5+ years of professional or academic experience in developing algorithms for complex systems.

  • Proven ability to translate complex physical problems and raw sensor data into robust mathematical models and efficient software solutions.

  • Strong expertise in modern C++ for high-performance, production-level code.

  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, prototyping, and scripting.

  • Strong interest in robust software engineering principles, including code quality, testing, and system architecture.

  • Passion for delivering high-quality work and contributing to a strong, collaborative team spirit.

The Office

We have just moved to our state-of-art HQ in Hørsholm, located at DTU Science Park. We take great pride in the building we designed! The office features bright meeting rooms, coffee areas to catch up with colleagues, a large testing arena with simulators available for employees and a fitness centre, everything surrounded by a beautiful forest and respecting the environment. We made sure to utilize the newest technologies to be energy efficient and be mindful of ventilation and sound propagation.

The cherry on top is our canteen: with an indoor and outdoor area to enjoy the fresh food prepared by our own kitchen staff.
