Are you passionate about working with Embedded Linux in an Agile environment?  We have an exciting opportunity in our Device Platform team at Trackman, where we are growing rapidly to develop, produce, and deploy our market-leading sports tracking solutions. 

The Role 

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a highly skilled team developing the core platforms for our next-generation and existing products. Our platform spans multiple sports, with new products frequently added as part of Trackman's rapid growth. In this role, you will take a leading position in the design, development, and optimization of software where stability, performance, and real-time execution are paramount. 

We operate in a fast-paced, collaborative Agile/Scrum environment, meaning you will have a direct impact on our development processes, sprint goals, and architectural choices. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Design & Develop: Architect, implement, and maintain high-performance embedded software for current and future products using modern C++. 

  • Optimize & Test: Ensure exceptional performance, reliability, testability, and maintainability of code running on Embedded Linux. 

  • Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, collaborating closely with hardware engineers, tracking developers, and product managers in a cross-functional setup. 

  • Linux Platform Work: Contribute to Linux kernel configuration, device tree modifications, and custom driver development. 

Job requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in C++ developing, optimizing, and debugging resource-constrained embedded systems.

  • Modern C++: Strong familiarity with modern C++ standards, specifically including C++20 coroutines for efficient asynchronous patterns.

  • Embedded Linux: Deep understanding of Linux kernel configuration, device tree modifications, and driver development.

Advantageous Experience 

  • FPGA development or interfacing application software with FPGAs

  • Working within an Agile/Scrum framework.

  • GStreamer, libargus or other camera pipelines.
