Job description
Hooked on sports analytics and turning baseball data into insights that matter on the field? Join a team whose tracking runs in stadiums and powers practice and scouting across pros, colleges, and high schools.
Our Diamond Sports product team delivers tracking used from Major League stadiums to colleges and high schools. We are adding a Data Analyst to join the existing team and support engineers, product, and field ops with clear, trustworthy analysis. You will help validate that models behave as intended, shape useful metrics, and provide decision-ready views of the data.
As a Data Analyst, you will work hands-on across SQL, Python or R, and a BI tool to explore data, build curated datasets and dashboards, and communicate findings. The role is based at our newly built HQ, Trackman Innovation Center, at the DTU Science Park in Hørsholm.
What will you be doing?
Support the cross-functional team with analyses that validate model outputs and uncover issues
Write efficient SQL queries to produce well-documented, reusable datasets
Build dashboards and reports for product, engineering, and field stakeholders (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
Run deep dives on player, play, and system performance questions
Define sanity checks, data quality routines, and simple anomaly flags
Present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
