Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated College Baseball Manager to join our growing team. This newly created role—reporting directly to the Senior Manager of College Baseball/Softball—will be instrumental in expanding Trackman’s presence across all levels of collegiate baseball. We’re looking for a driven individual with a strong passion for college baseball, a keen understanding of the landscape, and the ability to drive business, build strategic partnerships and grow our footprint across the collegiate market. 

This position will work cross-functionally with various teams across Trackman, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with the business development team to ensure revenue targets are achieved and new collegiate customers are effectively educated and engaged with Trackman’s products. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a strategic mindset, excellent communication and planning skills to drive successful execution and long-term growth. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

  • In collaboration with the Senior manager, maintain Trackman’s presence among elite collegiate baseball and help establish Trackman as the leading tracking provider throughout all collegiate levels 

  • Manage and grow relationships with college accounts across Division II, Division III, NAIA, and JUCO programs, ensuring consistent communication, service, and support 

  • Develop and expand new business opportunities with governing bodies, broadcast partners, and key stakeholders across the lower collegiate levels, including Division II, Division III, NAIA, and JUCO. 

  • Identify and pursue additional revenue opportunities with existing college accounts through the development and promotion of new products and services 

  • Conduct comprehensive market research on trends, changes, and developments in college baseball (e.g., NCAA rule changes, NIL impacts, conference realignment, and recruiting) and collaborate with management to ensure research findings are translated into clear, actionable strategies 

  • Take ownership of invoicing collegiate customers and ensuring timely payments 

  • Provide contractual negotiation and administrative support for the collegiate baseball business 

  • Collaborate closely with Trackman sales to create and execute sales strategies aligned with Trackman goals 

  • Work alongside Trackman Product team to enhance and develop products by leveraging knowledge of the marketplace 

  • Cohead the execution of baseball trade shows, ensuring the objectives set forth prior to the event are met 

  • Travel as needed to attend customer meetings, company functions and conferences 

Job requirements

Education and/or Experience & Skills: 

  • A strong network in the collegiate baseball space 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field 

  • Minimum of three (3) years in a collegiate or professional baseball coaching or player development role 

  • Experience in developing and applying sales and marketing strategies 

  • Understanding of product development processes 

  • Understanding sales processes, identifying customer needs, and winning sales 

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 

  • Personal drive, self-starter with demonstrated willingness to go the extra mile 

  • Build and maintain relationships easily 

  • Strong administrative skills and good attention to detail 

  • Analyze problems and provide well-thought-through solutions 

 

Preferred 

  • 3+ years sales and/or product development experience 

  • Extensive knowledge of sport tracking technologies 

  • A strong network in the amateur baseball space
