Our journey is to enable athletes and teams around the world by delivering actionable data-driven-insights. Trackman is looking for an additional project manager to lead our projects all the way from idea generation to customer value.

Being a Project Manager requires you to work closely together with several senior stakeholders in a very dynamic environment – driven by our passion for the product, the customer, and sports.

You will work closely with our algorithm & computer vision development teams, software development teams, software testing team, hardware development, and production. Fully aligning with our business side of baseball including Product management, sales, support and installations (all centered in the US) is also vital. You will be reporting to the Head of R&D Software, and you will provide progress to the steering committee and senior management. The workplace for this position is at our newly built HQ in Hørsholm, Science Park DTU.

Your key responsibilities are to:

  • Make sure the baseball projects are governed according to the Trackman Project Execution Model including both waterfall and agile processes.

  • Fully aligned with the other baseball project manager so project value is maximized across Trackman.

  • Prepare steering group presentations together with the Product Owner according to the “Project Management Framework” to ensure progress and timely decision making.

  • Lead the Project Groups together with the Product Owners.

  • Develop the project plan, based on estimates of scope, time and cost (resource) requirements.

  • Define detailed product specifications and do work breakdown together with the team. Translate the baseball customer requirements and business requirements into structured, technical system- and product requirements by working closely and collecting input from stakeholders in Sales, Operations, R&D and Business Development around the world (US, EMEA, APAC).

  • Being a “point-of-contact” for internal colleagues such as Sales, Operations, support, and production for technical questions related to Baseball and drawing on the expertise of the teams when needed.

  • Request allocation of resources through the management and escalate priorities accordingly.

  • Handle team-building and internal communication with the project team.

Job requirements

Are you our new colleague?

  • You have a technical background and some years of project management experience from a technology company. You appreciate the importance of working as a team and have proven your ability to drive projects forward in a positive and collaborative manner.

  • Our ideal candidate has worked with broad technical projects with elements of both hardware, embedded software, back-end, front-end, and cloud-based software and data environments. We expect you to bring an up-to-date project manager toolbox, but also to have the ability to use it with flexibility and pragmatically. You have worked in agile development environments and know the agile toolbox. You listen to other’s ideas before you present your own and strive to understand the challenges and opportunities that all projects have.

  • You are persistent and have proven your ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget.

  • You have an interest in sports and ideally a knowledge of baseball.

  • For the right candidate, this is a unique opportunity to influence the way projects are managed in a young, dynamic international company and to get to work with a great team of specialists that love what they do.
