Trackman is a fast-growing sports technology company that develops, manufactures, and sells 3D ball flight measurement systems for a variety of sports verticals. Originally developed for golf, Trackman now enjoys a market leader position in several sports disciplines in measuring and delivering real-time sports motion data.

As the Trackman Range (TMR) Business Development Manager, you will have two overall areas of responsibility: 1) driving success and satisfaction among Trackman’s existing TMR customers, and 2) driving the growth of the TMR business in the US. Initially, the role will be an individual role where this position will be expected to work hands on with key customers in a Customer Success Manager role, and support Trackman’s sales organization to drive sales through various commercial initiatives. With success in the role, responsibility should be expected to increase over time to include scaling our Customer Success efforts, working closely with key accounts (e.g., golf management companies), and driving strategic initiatives for Trackman’s Range business.

Job Description

Customer Success tasks

  • Become an TMR product expert by developing a thorough understanding of the TMR process from signing through install, handover, and onboarding of customers as well as how the product functions once installed
  • Ensure that key accounts get a proper on-boarding to TMR on the product as well as business side by sharing operating guidelines, best practices, and other guidance
  • Conduct regular meetings (in-person or remote) with key accounts to share latest TMR information and get an understanding of their businesses and challenges related to TMR
  • Be available for ad hoc questions and requests for key TMR accounts
  • Help define the role of TMR Customer Success Managers

Commercial & Growth tasks

  • Identify growth opportunities for TMR in and execute these initiatives
  • Manage the TMR pipeline and ensure we follow-up on sales processes
  • Support Trackman’s Salesforce by e.g., working with them on key sales processes, ensuring great Sales material is available, and they are well-trained to sell TMR
  • Become an industry expert and sparring partner for the rest of Trackman, knowing key trends in industry, customer demands, competitor products, pricing etc.
  • Lead TMR referral and ambassador program

Other tasks

  • Being the link between Trackman’s HQ, the TMR organization, and our customers ensuring all parties are up to date on relevant developments
  • Support Trackman leaders on projects related to TMR
  • Provide feedback to Trackman’s Product team on feature requests, customer pains, stability issues etc.

Job requirements

  • Undergraduate in Business, Finance, Marketing or similar field (or MBA)
  • +2 years of professional experience in a commercial role, ideally in an international company
  • Experience from the sports industry is not a requirement, but passion and motivation for working in the sports industry is a plus
  • People-person with a responsible and mature personality to be able to work with senior stakeholders and in customer-facing situations with key customers
  • Commercial and analytical mindset to identify and evaluate opportunities
  • Strong problem-solving skillset to independently solve and execute initiatives
  • Opportunistic attitude to tackle a wide range of tasks and grow with the role
  • Experience working with PowerPoint and Excel

The compensation plan consists of a fixed salary and a bonus scheme based on performance. The position is based out of our Phoenix office but can also be remote. A significant amount of travel should be expected (~5 days / month) with expenses covered by Trackman. During the on-boarding period, extended travel should be expected.
