Product Owner, Golf

Job description

Do you share our passion for golf?

TrackMan is looking for an ambitious and business-oriented Product Owner, who is ready to take responsibility for the product strategy of our Driving Range Solution.

Our Driving Range Solution is sold to an increasing number of golf clubs and commercial driving ranges, who want to leverage TrackMan technology to provide an entirely new range experience. Users get instant feedback on every shot simply by using their personal phone - or via a larger screen mounted in the bay. Everyone can now practice with feedback and purpose, or play a round of Virtual Golf with their friends. As Product Owner for the Driving Range Solution, you will work closely with other golf Product Owners, UI/UX and Sales in order to drive the market-facing side of the product development.

You will work from our HQ in Vedbæk as this position is anchored in Business Development Golf. This will allow you to work with several senior stakeholders in a very dynamic environment – driven by our passion for the product, the customer, and the game of golf.

Your key responsibilities are :

  • Drive the product, pricing, and marketing strategies for the product throughout the product life cycle
  • Lead the Project Group, together with the Project Manager
  • Define and take ownership of the roadmap and drive progress in sound collaboration with internal resources
  • Prepare reporting and presentations together with the project manager to ensure progress and timely decision making
  • Formulate specific user-facing requirements and use cases for R&D to work from
  • Define product concept and work closely with UI/UX to bring these to life
  • Own the relation to the market and support sales with materials
  • Communicate with external stakeholders, often aligned with Sales
  • Develop go-to-market proposals as new concepts are introduced
  • Decide upon and prioritize needed functionality in the ecosystem based on market input

Requirements

Are you our new colleague?

You have an educational background in business or technology. We expect you to have 3-5 years of working experience, ideally with a background that covers project management, direct product ownership and/or cross-functional work, where you have worked closely with UI/UX colleagues to create great customer experiences. You should be driven by making unique and meaningful consumer products that engage users and makes them want to stay in the TrackMan eco-system.

We expect you to have a commercial mindset, and to take an analytic approach to your tasks. You are a good communicator and presenter that listens to other’s ideas before presenting your own. You are persistent and have a proven ability to deliver high-quality products to the market. Experience with working in a collaborative and international environment is a plus. Given the nature of this product, an understanding and passion for golf are necessary. Preferably, you have played golf at a fairly high level in the past (single-digit HCP), which provides key insights into the industry.  As a Product Owner, you need to be close to customers and the sales team on a regular basis. This means you will travel approximately 20-40 business days per year.
