Job description

Would you like to play a key role on supporting TrackMan's  international baseball operations and engineering teams?  You will be facilitating communication and performing work related to field operations, technical support and business development in the Asian Pacific markets (APAC). This position is based in Japan.

TrackMan A/S is a fast-growing sports technology company that develops, manufactures and sells 3D ball flight measurement systems for a variety of sports. Originally developed for golf, TrackMan now enjoys a market leader position in several sports disciplines such as baseball in measuring and delivering real-time sports motion data.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and travel to stadiums to troubleshoot, repair, replace and or re-calibrate installed systems
  • Perform on-field calibration of TrackMan systems
  • Ensure proper documentation of equipment and activities regarding systems
  • Assist in researching and vetting and communicating with 3rd party contractors as directed
  • Source and purchase materials as directed
  • Ensure that all communications are handled or forwarded internally in a timely manner
  • Ensure that contractors are informed of all communication from teams, and copied on all communication with teams
  • Maintain and distribute weekly reports
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure live Tier I technical support is available by phone
  • Perform live front line technical support on agreed days and times
  • Escalate unresolvable issues to Tier II support
  • Enter all calls into ticketing system Track progress on all open issues, and ensure timely response to new business inquiries by involving internal Operations team
  • Translate marketing and negotiating materials as needed


  • Experience in operations, preferable from a demanding industry
  • Any installation or technical knowledge of electrical component systems is an advantage
  • Throw baseballs accurately (withing 1-2 meters of strike zone)
  • Knowledge of baseball is an advantage
  • Customer service and positive interaction
  • Ability to travel, sometimes with short notice
  • Full driver’s license
  • 3rd Level Qualification in Technology, Business or Marketing is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and good public speaker 
  • Hard worker who delivers on commitments
  • Ability to work independently
  • Communicate fluently in English and Japanese verbally and in writing
  • Able to commute to and work in Tokyo, Japan daily
  • Advanced computer skills, Windows 7/10 configuration (device management), Microsoft Office

Your ability to build and maintain positive relationships is crucial for the role. You will work with stadium operations staff to ensure cooperation when TrackMan is on site, and provide remote support in the initial phases of trouble shooting. Moreover, you will work in close collaboration with contractors as well as internal stakeholders in US and Denmark.
