Account Manager, TrackMan Baseball

Job description

We are seeking an Account Manager to help oversee our expanding TrackMan Baseball service offerings and business.  The Account Manager will build trusting, long-term relationships with our US professional team customers, and handle day-to-day interactions.  In this role you will manage current customer accounts, ensuring TrackMan is exceeding customer expectations, and support the development and growth of the baseball business. 

 

You will have a major impact on the growth and use of analytics in the game.  You will identify and present new opportunities to improve the customers’ overall TrackMan experience and grow the business.  The Account Manager will be responsible for communicating with existing and new customers, and with internal stakeholders including Field Operations, Technical Support, Product, Data Operations, Finance, and others.  

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with TrackMan business leads, negotiate, write, and administer customer contracts, amendments, and statements of work
  • Work in close collaboration with TrackMan Field Operations and Data Operations to ensure we are meeting contractual obligations, addressing issues in a timely manner, delivering the highest quality product and service, and exceeding customer expectations
  • Manage global data distribution rules for all customers
  • Create, send, and track invoices for all products and services
  • Develop and maintain, strong and trusting relationships with customers and industry contacts through effective communication and a customer focused approach.
  • Manage day-to-day interactions and deliverables with MLB teams
  • Lead and/or oversee all customer communications, ensuring customers are properly informed and managed
  • Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Support the Field Operations team in managing the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of licensed systems
  • Conduct industry and competitive research to ensure company and management is informed on market and competitive landscape
  • Organize and coordinate TrackMan efforts at key industry events
  • Work closely with entire TrackMan Baseball team to identify, research, and quantify new business opportunities in order to grow business
  • In close collaboration with entire TrackMan Baseball team, support the marketing and sales of our products and services

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in account management or operations in a technology, data, or sports-driven company. Experience working in baseball operations is a plus.
  • Highly detail oriented and capable of managing and tracking multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of the most recent trends in baseball analytics.
  • Technically capable with ability to quickly understand and communicate complex concepts.
  • Background in statistics, database administration, or accounting is a plus
  • Experience managing and/or writing complex contracts and agreements
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (limited)
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
